Add a selfie once and it gathers the photos you actually appear in, so you are not scrolling all night to find three of yourself. It stays off unless you switch it on, and it asks on every device before it does anything, because a face search nobody agreed to is not one worth having.
Open to anyone with the link, or invited by family so each household sees only what it was given. A photo can wait as pending until somebody waves it through, so nothing lands in front of people that should not have.
