It never has to guess

The transcript says who spoke, as a fact

Your microphone is you. Your speakers are everybody else. They are recorded as two separate tracks the whole way through, so who was talking is a matter of fact. Every other product in this category guesses it from voices, and gets it wrong on exactly the calls where it matters.

It does not join your meeting

No bot appears in the participant list, no invitation goes out, nobody is told a robot has arrived. The Windows app records what is already coming out of your speakers, which is the same thing your own ears are doing.

It knows who said what, because it never has to guess

Your microphone is you. Your speakers are everybody else. They are recorded as two separate tracks the whole way through, so the transcript says who was speaking as a matter of fact. Every other product in this category guesses this from voices, and gets it wrong on exactly the calls where it matters.

It starts on its own when a call starts

It watches for any program opening your microphone, which is what happens the moment a call is answered in Teams, Zoom, Meet or a browser tab. It does not need to know which app you use, and it will still work with whatever you switch to next year.

And it never starts silently

A small window counts down first with a cancel button on it, and an indicator stays up the whole time it is running. You can turn on a spoken announcement into the call as well. A recording nobody knew about is the one you would have to explain.

Screenshots land in the transcript, not in a folder

The whiteboard, the shared screen, the figure that was up for four seconds. It goes into the transcript at the moment it was taken, next to the sentence that explains it.

A summary, and only the things actually agreed

What it was about, and what somebody committed to do. Action items are proposed and you keep the real ones, because an invented commitment in a client meeting is worse than none at all: somebody will act on it.

Search everything anybody ever said

Not the titles. Every line of every transcript. Half remember a number and a name and you will find the meeting it was in.

The audio expires and the transcript does not

The text is the useful part and is tiny. The recording is the large part and is somebody else's voice, so it deletes itself after however many days you choose, and any single meeting can be pinned so it never does.
